An experienced independent consultant, I have an extensive background in successful negotiation on behalf of my clients. Highly qualified and tested through years of practice with both individuals and communities, I fully complete all of my projects with great attention to detail from beginning to end. You will not be left alone or uninformed when buying or selling your home, one of life’s most important transactions.
Known as a skilled facilitator, I will find the best situation for you to reach your goals and the most favorable transition for you and your loved ones. My specialty is helping you connect to the flow of opportunities that fulfills your specific needs and interests. My background as a professional lighting designer for the theater has given me a skilled eye for the nuances of architecture and the best possible choices in staging your home.
I am a native of New Orleans and hold a Master of Arts in Drama and Communications from the University of New Orleans. Over the years, I have served as site visitor and panelist for the National Endowment for the Arts in addition to regional, state and local agencies. I consult for arts organizations and individuals in strategic planning, organizational advancement and community development. I came to Oakland to act as Director of the ARTS Ed Initiative at the East Bay Community Foundation.
• Director of Performing Arts, Contemporary Arts Center - New Orleans, LA - producer, presenter, and simultaneously acted as funder for the Regional Artists’ Projects in five southeastern states (a nationwide public/private partnership of The Rockefeller Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts and the Andy Warhol Foundation that funded individual artists creating new work)
• Founding Executive Director of the Center for Creative Education - Palm Beach County Florida - recruited by the John D. and Katherine T. MacArthur Foundation to form a non-profit intermediary serving seven countywide partnerships that provided arts programs for Palm Beach County Public Schools and community-based after school arts programs
• Director, School Arts Program, Fulton County Arts Council - Atlanta, GA - developed and administered programs at all grade levels in all arts disciplines for 55 school district working with several hundred artists and teachers
These experiences have given me the ability to multi-task and not lose track of the prize; to keep the big picture in mind while completing every small detail in a timely way in order to receive the greatest benefits for my clients; to make the most of every resource in order to overcome deficits that occur in any productive situation; and to achieve high levels of communication with and respect for diverse individuals. Having collaborated with private and governmental agencies for many years, I am not intimidated by the voluminous paperwork necessary to reap the reward of success.
